Ever dreamt of seeing the underwater world?  Well now you can! The PADI Scuba Diver course is the first half of the most popular Open Water Course, that lets you dive anywhere around the world up to a depth of 40 feet and under the guidance of a dive professional.  Here is how you can start your certification!


WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Through knowledge development and practical training, the PADI Open Water Diver course teaches you the basics of safe diving. The course consists of three main parts: 

  •  Knowledge Development (online eLearning) to understand the basic principles and theory of scuba diving

  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills in a pool or shallow, confined water

  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore the underwater environment


WHAT YOUR SCHEDULE WILL LOOK LIKE:

  • Online homework which is fun, informative, and self-guided learning online (approx. 15 hours)

    • Once eLearning is completed schedule a 2 hour in store classroom session
  • A one-day pool session (10:00am-5:30pm).

  • Part Three: 2 Open Water Checkout dives done in the ocean in one day

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Before jumping in the water, you must have:

  • Completed the PADI RSTC Medical Form

  • Completed the Knowledge Reviews & Quizzes for sections 1-3 in the PADI Open Water eLearning (although we suggest you complete all sections so if you decide to continue on with us your work is done)

  • Purchased your snorkeling gear (ie. mask, snorkel, fins, booties and gloves (and though optional, hoods are recommended) Ask about our student discount!

  • Transportation to/from the pool and the Catalina Express/Dive Boat Docks

*Parking, meals, drinks, hotel accommodations and gratuities are not included.


WHAT IN2DEEP WILL PROVIDE:

  • eLearning online

  • Scuba Gear Rental during the course (ie. BCD, wetsuit, regulator with computer, tanks & weights)

  • 1 Round Trip Boat Ticket

  • Temporary DAN Dive Insurance (which is good for 180 days from registration or through your Open Water training whichever comes first)

  • 1 PADI Scuba Diver Certification 

  • 1 Project Aware Certification

  • A full retail shop to ensure you have all the equipment and accessories you need

  • Professional staff members and PADI certified instructors to guide you through your course


WHO CAN TAKE THIS COURSE: 

To be able to take this course, you must be:

  • 10 years or older

  • In good physical and mental health 

  • Must know how to swim
