WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Through knowledge development and practical training, the PADI Open Water Diver course teaches you the basics of safe diving. The course consists of three main parts:
Knowledge Development (through online eLearning or bookwork) to understand the basic principles and theory of scuba diving
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills in a pool or shallow, confined water
Open Water Dives to apply your skills and explore the underwater environment!
WHAT YOUR SCHEDULE LOOKS LIKE:
Online homework which is fun, informative, and self-guided (approx. 15 hours)
- Once eLearning is completed schedule a 2 hour in store classroom session
A one-day pool session (10:00am-5:30pm)
4 Open Water checkout dives done in the ocean on two separate days

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Before jumping in the water, you must have:
Completed the PADI Medical Form (see “Forms” below)
Completed the Knowledge Reviews & Quizzes for each section in the PADI Open Water eLearning
Purchased your snorkeling gear (ie. mask, snorkel, fins, booties and gloves (and though optional, hoods are recommended) Ask about our student discount!
Transportation to/from In2Deep, pools and the Catalina Express/Dive Boat Docks
*Parking, meals, drinks, hotel accommodations and gratuities are not included.
WHAT IN2DEEP WILL PROVIDE:
1eLearning code (online homework), 1 Classroom and pool session
Scuba Gear Rental during the course (ie. BCD, wetsuit, regulator with computer, tanks & weights)
2 Round Trip Catalina Express Tickets to Catalina Island (boat trip upgrades are available)
Temporary DAN (Divers Alert Network) Dive Insurance which is good for 180 days from registration or through your Open Water training whichever comes first
1 PADI Open Water Certification Card
A full retail shop to ensure you have all the equipment and accessories you need
Professional staff members and PADI Certified instructors to guide you through your course
WHO CAN TAKE THIS COURSE:
To be able to take this course, you must be:
10 years or older
In good physical and mental health
Must know how to swim
