During the EFR Instructor Course, you will build on your skills as and Emergency First Responder and focus your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others. The Instructor Course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid), Care for Children and AED use. Through a multimedia of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct the course. Included is instruction on how to structure learning, the requirements of performance-based training and your role as the instructor in the learning environment. You will also learn how to motivate students, evaluate student knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing student's hands on skills practice session and are taught how to present an effective scenario-based learning experience, and how to market your classes.

 

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Through knowledge development and practical training, the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor Training Course, you will become proficient at attending to emergencies an training other to do so as well.

  • Knowledge Development (book work) to understand the basic principles and theory of First Responders

  • A one-day classroom session (8:30am-5pm)


WHAT YOUR SCHEDULE LOOKS LIKE:

  • Home Study to be completed prior to arrival for the classroom session

  • A one-day classroom and pool session (11:00am-5:00pm).

WHO CAN TAKE THIS COURSE: 

To be able to take this course, you must be:

  • 18 years or older

  • Current certification for EFR (or similar) with in 24 month (or a refresher is required)
